I just found out about this after reading one of the daily emails from Nick Pinault, author of "The Truth About Fat Burning Goods." One of his frequent guest contributors is a guy named Shaun Hadsall.

How to Exercise to Live Longer

Yesterday I quickly discussed why we need mitochondria.

These are tiny little energy-producing cellular powerhouses
that can help you burn fat more efficiently - and even help
you live longer.

But the most important role mitochondria play is their ability
to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which provides
95% of the cellular energy required for all living functions.

Unfortunately, there is a big drawback and negative side
effect to ATP energy production.

Free Radicals.

These free radicals are destructive because they create
metabolic waste products that can disturb your fat-burning
DNA and stop you from getting results.

They also block protein absorption, create inflammation,
and damage your cells.

This is why it’s so important to make SURE you’re using
nutrition and exercise methods that can help you minimize
mitochondrial DNA damage.

The scientifically proven method below is specifically set
up to help you BOOST your body’s natural Growth Hormone
production, while stimulating creation of new mitochondria.

It’s called F4X and here’s how it works.

First of all, you’ll be using moderate poundage for less
joint stress.

This will allow for high muscle fatigue to increase intensity.

So you’ll be using short rests between sets that will force
growth hormone release. The GH will trigger a powerful
muscle-building, fat-burning (and anti-aging) cascade.

This hormone decreases significantly as you get older,
but this type of training can preserve it’s decline when
used consistently.

F4X is simple to understand:

Let’s use dumbbell or barbell curls as an example.

- Pick a weight with which you can get about 15 repetitions,
but only complete 10.
- Rest 30-40 seconds
- Then do 10 more reps with the same weight.
- Rest 30-40 seconds
- Do 10 more repetitions with the same weight.
- Rest 30-40 seconds
- Do as many repetitions as you can for the last set.

If you can do more than 10 reps on your last (4th set),
you need to increase the weight you use.

Tempo should always be one second lift (concentric)
and 3 seconds to lower.

This tempo is super important because it stimulates
the muscle fibers that will stimulate the new creation
of mitochondria.

With shorter rests between sets, and each set lasting 40
seconds, you stress the "side" of the muscle fiber that
fortifies your intra-cellular fat-burning furnaces.

This is how you can rev up the cellular machinery that
will help you produce more mitochondrial fat burning
DNA in only 40 seconds FLAT.

It also produces more muscle burn (lactate), which is the
main precursor to keep GH at full throttle.

In the fitness world, this often referred to as a sarcoplasmic
stimulator vs. a myofibrillar stimulator.

Now you just have to make sure that you maintain a
balance of stimulating both fiber types for max results:

Sarcoplasmic and Myofibrillar stimulation.

The F4X system gives you about a 50/50 mix of both, so
you get the best fat-to-muscle results.

I Want To Be Thin Now-How Over Exercising Keeps You Fat and Ages You

So, I would like to be a thinner now like a lot of women out there! Everybody knows its not easy. Everybody says it can be done with the proper exercise regimen and a solid, clean eating program.  However, have you ever heard that exercising too much can lead to problems and can making it really difficult for you to  lose fat? I know, its hard to believe, but seems to be true!

I am a subscriber to Nick Pineault's, author of "The Truth About Fat Burning Food." In a recent mailing, one of his contributors, Shaun Hadsall, shared how this can easily happen on a cellular level is we are not being mindful of what we are doing. It was good information to know so I thought I would share it with you.

Exercising too much can make you age faster...

Why? The explanation lies in your mitochondria -- which Shaun
talks about below.


Hidden deep inside your body’s cells are tiny little energy
producing membrane structures called mitochondria.

These mitochondria are responsible for a variety of vital
processes related to your health and fat-loss including;

- Adequately producing ATP.

This is your body’s primary energy system and it provides
95% of the cellular energy that powers ALL living functions.

- Efficient fat burning.

Mitochondria are responsible for allowing fat to be transported
in and out of the cell, so it can be “burned off”.

- How long you live.

That’s right. A growing number of scientists and cell biologists
are now saying mitochondria can even control life span. So
adequate mitochondrial function is how you can keep your
body looking younger and potentially live a longer life.

However, EVERY day when we wake up and live life,

Here are 3 simple steps you can take to REVERSE mitochondrial

1) Controlling insulin levels with proper food choices and

Tip: Remember to NEVER eat processed, starchy carbs or
excessive amounts of overly ripe fruits all by themselves. Always
try to add protein and/or fibrous veggies.

2) Taking care of your digestive health because it controls 80%
of your immune system and helps prevent mitochondrial damage.

Tip: Get adequate amount of “good” bacteria in your diet. Raw
sauerkraut, kefir, and raw cheese are 3 great sources.

Although research now indicates is not enough.

That’s why my wife Karen and I use THIS PROVEN METHOD to

3) Making sure you’re not exercising TOO MUCH because it can
age you FASTER and release excessive amounts of cortisol, which

Tip: Avoid over training. STOP doing long duration-excessive cardio
workouts, stretch and stay adequately hydrated.

All of these things will help you recover faster and prevent the
cellular damage that can age you faster and block fat-burning.

Lose Weight In 10 Days-Can You Sleep Your Way Thin?

I don't know about you, but for me when it comes losing weight, not only do I want to be be dropping weight every 10 days or less, but I want to do it in a way that's not too painful lol! Seriously though, I do realize that to get down to a decent body fat range I want, it IS gonna take a lot of work.

Can You Sleep Your Way Thin? Do this before you sleep tonight (burn more fat during the night) by Shaun Hadsall

Here are a few eye-opening results from recent scientific studies.

If you care anything at all about being leaner and staying healthy,
then quickly read this.

FIRST: When dieters get adequate sleep, more than half of the
weight they lose is fat.

When dieters cut back on their sleep, only one-fourth of their
weight loss came from fat. So those with poor quality sleep lost
muscle and other lean tissue.

SECOND: Those who sleep an average of 5 hours per night were found
to have much higher fat storing hormones than those who slept for 8

THIRD: A sleep duration of 6 hours or less, or 9 hours or more, is

Best Way To Lose Tummy Fat-The Post Workout Hormonal Trick that Double Fat-Loss

Everybody knows that hormones which are out of whack can have a negative effect on our weight and fat loss goals. Most people don't realize that there is a post workout hormonal trick that can double your body's ability to burn fat. In fact, this trick will turn your body into a fat burning machine running 24-7!

One thing that you probably hear all the time is that
you should try to eat or have a protein shake as fast
as possible after exercise to feed your muscles.

And if your goal is to gain muscle this is probably the
best choice.


...If your goal is to burn fat and the intensity is high
enough during exercise (which 90% of the time it
should be), using this approach can actually block

Let me quickly explain so you can maximize the hormonal
effect and increase fat-burning after your workouts.

The Post Workout Hormonal Trick that Double Fat-Loss

This is a trick that definitely goes against the grain and would
probably get an old-school bodybuilder all riled up.

But I recommend you keep your body in a fasted state after high
intensity exercise for at least 30 to 60 minutes.

This is great trick that I've personally used for years to get (and
stay) lean despite what every other fitness expert or guru may tell
you. And I never lose muscle using the trick.

Here's the simple science.

Hopefully you know by now that high intensity exercise will force
your body to release all kinds of fat burning hormones by ramping
up your sympathetic nervous system.

This is what helps create a fat burning hormonal environment inside
your body.

However, the minute you consume calories, you'll spike your body's
primary storage hormone - insulin.

And although insulin helps shuttle nutrients to muscles quickly, it
could potentially blunt or block your growth hormone and other
hormones from working their magic after workouts.

Simply put, insulin is the "antagonist" of growth hormone and
possibly other hormones. And every time you eat or consume
calories, you raise insulin.

In theory, the absence of insulin along with the presence of these
"fight or flight" hormones will also spare muscle and help you burn
a lot more stubborn fat.

That's why I recommend you ride the fat burning wave during this 30
to 60 minute post workout window.

Ultimately, when it comes to aggressive fat loss, the solution is
to get the best of both worlds.

You can do this by fasting for about 30 to 45 minutes after your
workout and then consuming a post workout shake or meal.

This way your body can still take advantage of the post workout
"metabolic hormonal window" to burn fat, while still getting
nutrients soon enough to absorb nutrients at a much faster rate.

A word of caution: Do NOT try this approach if you're not healthy
or have sugar issues. Get cleared by your doctor and build a
foundation of basic conditioning first.

But if you're experienced and you're belly flab won't budge, this
hormonal metabolic trick might just to the trick.

And if your goal is to gain muscle, having a protein or nutrition
shake immediately after exercise is the logical choice.

You'll help facilitate faster recovery and burn up and store
nutrients at a much faster rate because of enhanced insulin
sensitivity and increased metabolic rate.

But if your goal is to burn fat, the minute you put calories in
your system you've just instructed your body to stop burning fat
and start burning calories instead.

it gets a little trickier. You have to customize.

How to Lose Three Pounds a Week-WORSE Than Fast Food (and you're eating it every day)

As someone who pays close attention to what I eat, I was suprised at what they revealed in a recent newsletter. There is something WORSE than fast food lol?

WORSE Than Fast Food (and you're eating it every day) by Joel Marion & Josh Bezoni

If you're a health conscious individual, you likely cringe at even the mention of fast food.

McDonald's.  Burger King.  Wendy's.


We all know that fast food for the most part is REALLY bad news, so if you're going to go "out to eat", whatever you do, don't eat fast food.  Instead, try a nice sit-down restaurant in which an independent study recently determined that when compared to the golden arches and king of burgers, those who choose sit-down restaurants wind up eating TWICE as many calories than those that choose fast food.


Eye-opener:  What appears to be healthy at a restaurant, very likely aint healthy.

The reality is that sit down restaurant meals, due to their exceptionally large portions and often irresponsible preparation methods (with respect to calorie content) give very little regard to health and weight management.  Restaurants want you to LOVE the food, be satisfied, and come back.  For the most part, with few exceptions, that's their number one goal...and it comes at the expense of your health and that oh so lovely figure you're trying to obtain and maintain.

Does that mean you should never eat out?  No, we eat out all the time.  But you have to be aware of what goes down, and YOU have to be the one in control of the meal.  Here are some tips:

1.  When you order, ask the server to have half of your entree bagged up to go and half brought out to you.  Instant 50% reduction in calories!

Chances are, you'll be just as satisfied with 1/2 the normal portion, but when the whole thing is on your plate in front of you, you'll always eat more just because it's there.

2.  Give VERY specific instructions on how you want your food prepared.  For example, order your meat grilled with absolutely no sauces, butter, etc.  Skip the "pre-made" salad dressings and request olive oil and vinegar instead.  Ask how things are prepared -- it's your server's job to answer your questions and you're paying them to be an expert and deliver to you exactly what you want.  If you don't want a boatload of hidden calories, make sure you don't get them by speaking up and clarifying what you want.

Implement those 2 tips and you'll avoid 75% of the calories in a typical restaurant entree.

Easy Diet Plans-Are You Purchasing Fat Burning Foods?

Did you know that if you are looking to lose the weight and keep it off, you need to make sure you are buying foods that will help your body burn the fat?

As it turns out, this is very important. If you know how to shop and what to look for, you will find that purchasing the right foods will make it much easier for you to stick to your diet plan PLUS never go hungry.

The following is an article which outlines a very helpful blueprint on how to shop. If you shop how Joel recommends, you will be eating very healthy plus turn your bod into a fat burning machine. I

One of the biggest struggles that folks have is knowing how shop and choose the right foods when visiting the grocery store.  And while there are SO many choices and a TON of confusion at your local grocer, they've actually made it really EASY for you to shop, if you know what sections to visit, and which to avoid.

In fact, I can get in and out of the grocery store with a full cart of fat-burning groceries in just 15 mins nowadays, simply because I know I'll NEVER even visit 90% of the store aisles on most visits.

So, before we get into my exact grocery list, here's my EASIEST grocery store tip EVER:

Shop the perimeter of the grocery store and avoid the middle aisles.  That's it!

Here's why it works:

With few exceptions, the middle aisles of the grocery store are full of processed, packaged foods while the perimeter contains almost all of the whole, natural foods you'll need to stock up your fat-burning kitchen.

Here's my usual routine when visiting my local grocery store, and I'm sure your store is set up in a similar way.

When I walk in the door I make sure to walk right on past the bakery!  Did you know that nearly every grocery store puts the bakery right at the entrance intentionally?  If they can get your saliva glands working right away, it's very likely you'll spend more as you travel through the store...nothing in a grocery store's layout is by accident, which is why I know your store is probably laid out the same way.

So, quickly pass by the bakery and head straight to the produce section...this is where wholesome goodness starts...fresh fruits & veggies.  In my most recent trip, here are the items I grabbed from the produce section:

Green Beans
Sugar Snap Peas
Red Potatoes
Romaine Lettuce

Of course there are a ton of other great choices lying around the produce section...pretty much any vegetable and/or fruit would be a great fat-burning, nutrient-rich choice.

I then walk 5 steps from the produce section to the fresh meats and poultry.  At our grocery stores here in Florida (Publix) they have an "all natural" section of the meat department called Greenwise where you can get all-natural and organic meats that are sourced from animals not treated with hormones and antibiotics...your store probably has something like this as well.  Just ask if you aren't sure.

From this section I grabbed:

All Natural Chicken Sausage
Grass Fed Ground Beef
Grass Fed Chuck Roast (for pot roast)
Organic Chicken Breast
Grass Fed NY Strip Steaks

Next up is the milk and eggs section, again right on that back wall (still haven't ventured into the aisles at all).  From here I picked up:

Organic Large Eggs
Organic Butter
Organic Whole Milk

Along the very last aisle in the store are some more dairy items where I grabbed:

Organic Greek Yogurt
All-Natural Cheddar Cheese

Also in that last aisle is water, so I grabbed a case or two and that essentially took me back to the front of the store to check out.  A full cart of fat-burning groceries all while NEVER visiting the center aisles where I'm sure I would have been tempted to toss in a bunch of processed garbage like cookies, crackers, chips, ice cream, cereal, stove top pasta "mixes"...and the list goes on.

If I do ever make a strategic trip into the middle of the store, it's almost always to get these items:

Tomato Puree

And that's about it.

Follow that simple advice next time you're at the grocery store and you'll be in and out in no time while avoiding all those processed items that wind up ruining your diet once you get them home.

Yesterday I talked about how walking after meals can help you
suppress deadly after-meal surges in blood sugar.

Just like I promised, I'm back today to reveal the 3 BEST times to
walk for faster fat loss.

In fact, walking can be the easiest exercise in the world for
helping you legitimately "target" stubborn fat.

But you have to time your walks properly and follow my simple
guidelines below for this to work properly on your body.


1: A few hours before you go to bed at night. 
Easy movements, like walking, a few hours before bedtime activates
the parasympathetic nervous system. This will help you calm down so
you can sleep better.

And if you sleep better, you recover better and you're more
productive. All of which indirectly means more energy for workouts
and ultimately more efficient fat-loss - and better quality of

2: AFTER any type of high intensity exercise (weights, intervals,
bursts, etc). Also known as the strategic cool down. 
This will help let the heart rate settle down in a healthy manner.
There's also some research suggesting this can help with post
workout calorie burning and fat-loss too, but it's more important
for the overall health of your heart.

Additionally, if the intensity of your workouts is high enough,
they'll be plenty of free fatty acids floating around in your blood
stream screaming to be burned off.

Brisk walking is one of the best ways to achieve this goal.
Which leads me to the third and "sneakiest" time to walk for extra

3: Between high intensity intervals or bursts.

Remember, when you perform a series of high intensity exercise
bursts lasting anywhere from 10 to 60 seconds at a time, your
"fight or flight" response (i.e. Sympathetic Nervous System-SNS)
will force the release of free fatty acids into the blood stream. 
Lower intensity cardio (like walking) for a minute or two between
your intervals or bursts is one of the best ways to make sure these
free fatty acids get "burned off".

Otherwise there is the potential for fatty acids to be re-stored as
fat again (called re-esterification).

So this walking strategy can actually help you burn off more
stubborn fat.

On top of all of this, walking doesn't give you the metabolic 
and hormonal drawbacks of chronic jogging.

As I get older I really find this walking time enjoyable.  
It's a great time to reflect, be grateful, think positive, and
count your blessings. If I'm on the treadmill I'll use this time
to read over my goal cards or read a chapter in a book.
I truly believe strategies like this - that make your exercise
more fun, engaging, and productive is a key to long term success
with your fat-loss.

Additionally, research now shows that pounding away doing long
duration cardio or circuit training week after week just ages you
FASTER anyway.

And let's face reality.

Sometimes we HAVE time for exercise and healthy eating, but MOST
times we don't.

And when life gets crazy like this I think it's even MORE important
for you to exercise and eat right --- because it FEEDS every
other area in a positive way.

That's why it's so important for you to have a system in place that
allows you to get it done fast when life gets too hectic.

1. Reward yourself
So you've been following your training program, working out hard and eating well. It’s time for you to go shopping and treat yourself to those new tight-fitting jeans you had your eye on. Rewarding yourself once a month or when you achieve a new goal is a fantastic way to ensure you stay motivated.

2. Don’t quit just because you've had a bad day
Okay, we've all done it. Got up and had pancakes for breakfast, a burger for lunch and pizza for dinner. Whatever the reason, days like this happen and often we don’t even realise until after. If you have a bad day, just put it behind you and start your healthy eating plan again tomorrow. After eating all the bad food your body will probably also be craving the healthy stuff!

3. Stock up
Snacking on fruit and healthy biscuits is a great way to ensure you don’t eat junk food, but do lift your metabolism. Fill your top drawer at work with muesli bars, protein bars and always have fresh fruit close by. You never know when you’ll feel like a light snack.

4. Avoid crash diets
This is possibly the worst thing you can do to lose weight as you’ll find when you go off a crash diet, you’ll probably put on more weight than what you started with. Crash diets promote mainly water and muscle loss which is exactly what you want to avoid, because the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism will be.

5. Know why you want to lose weight
If you want to lose weight because your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife or family are urging you, then it’s simply not going to work. Know why you want to lose weight, and more importantly do it for yourself. It can be anything from toning your body, to wanting to fit into last year’s pants, but always have something to work towards.

6. Cut back on the booze
Not only is alcohol filled with fat, having one or two big drinking sessions can really alter your weekly program. Often after a night out, the next day you either eat junk food or don’t eat at all, and sometimes (most times) you can’t exercise. If you’re going to go out, plan what sort of night you’re having and try to coincide it with a light exercise day – even if you just go for a walk.

7. Indulge (occasionally)
Food is meant to be enjoyed and some of the most delicious foods in the world (I’m thinking chocolate and pavlova) are fattening, but you can’t restrict yourself forever. Having the occasional ice cream, or popcorn when you’re at the movies is fine – just don’t overdo it. You’ll find if you give yourself some leniency with the occasional treat, instead of banning it completely, when you do have a splurge it won’t be disastrous. (Just remember it’s okay to have a few pieces of chocolate, it’s not okay to eat the whole block).

8. Prepare ahead – cook and freeze
How often do you drive to the local KFC or McDonald's because you want something quick to eat? Ensure you always have something healthy in the freezer or cupboard, both at work and at home, that you can cook up with no fuss. Spend a Sunday preparing healthy stir-fry's, pastas and mixed vegetables. Freeze, and pull them out when you feel like heading down to the local fast food chain.

9. Don’t blame the weather
You may come up with a million excuses why you can’t exercise but the weather – hot or cold – is not one of them. If it’s a hot day, head down to a gym that’s air-conditioned or even better do some laps at the local pool. If it’s freezing run on the treadmills at the gym, or try the advice of legendary bodybuilding trainer George Tabban – take a raincoat and umbrella while walking!

10. Lift weights
The quickest and most effective way to tone and shape your body is to combine weights with a cardio program. Despite what anyone may tell you there is no possible way a woman can develop huge muscles following a light weights program. Lifting weights increases muscle, and lean muscle burns more kilos than fat.

11. Join a team
It’s often so hard to motivate yourself to go for a run or head to the gym when you’re the only one it’s going to affect. Join a local basketball or netball team, and every week you’ll be required to turn up and exercise. Before long you’ll be having so much fun playing (and socializing!), you’ll forget you’re actually putting yourself through some quality exercise.

12. Go to the gym
Investing in a gym membership is great motivation to ensure you actually use it. Gym memberships aren’t cheap and when you’re forking out your hard-earned cash you’ll be surprised how often you turn up, just so you get your money’s worth.

So what if there is no "official" diet out there that fits in with your way of eating? Why not create your own? I'm not talking about whipping up a totally unique type of diet, I mean stick with the tried and true, wholesome, no nonsense type of a meal plan. You already know that you should be relying on fruits, veggies, non-fat dairy products, lean meats and 100% whole grain breads, so why not create a shopping list and menu plan featuring these foods? You don't to plan anything outlandish, Just stick to honest food, avoid the junk and snacks and you will lose the weight. You don't need a book to do it.

Sticking to a simple plan has helped millions lose weight. The only way that you are going to lose weight and keep it off forever, is to plan on a diet that you will be able to live with forever. If it happens to be a popular diet, well that's great, but don't just jump on the next hot diet bandwagon blindfolded. Read all you can about it first, ask the above questions and go in knowing what is expected of you. Being an informed dieter, is the only way you will find your perfect diet.

If you think it's eating absolutely no carbs, you're wrong.
If you think it's eating a ton of starchy carbs, you're wrong.
If you think a lot of fruit will help you burn fat quickly, wrong again.
If you think eating fat is bad, then guess what- sorry, wrong one more time.
You see most people don't really know how to eat a healthy diet. They're told to eat a "balanced" diet of starchy carbs, a little fat and protein, and don't forget TONS of calcium from dairy!
The sad thing is, this type of diet isn't working yet we're still expected to follow it! There are several reasons why this type of diet doesn't work for our body.
Fruits aren't too bad for you, but do have a lot of sugar. Fructose, the sugar in fruit, is converted into fat more easily than any other type of sugar out there. If you want to know how to lose 20 pounds in a month, one thing I can tell you is to stay away from too much fruit!
Another thing to consider is starchy carbs like bread or potatoes. We're told every day that we need these foods, but the truth is they're killing us! The gluten in most of these foods has tons of serious negative effects, which are compounded over decades of eating these foods. There has been a lot more research into this lately, yet it is still not widely known how dangerous gluten is.
Finally, consider dairy. Most of us love milk or ice cream, but it has very negative effects on our bodies as well. If you want to lose 20 pounds in one month, take heed- stay away from dairy! No other animal drinks another animal's milk- much less after reaching adulthood and having the milk "purified" through tons of heat and chemical treatment!
So what do you have left? The best way to lose twenty pounds quickly is with lots of vegetables and meats. These are very high quality foods that give you everything you need- protein, fat, carbs, fiber, and tons of vitamins and minerals. They also don't have negative effects on the body like many other foods do.
Step 2: Exercise
Exercise is very important to help you learn how to lose 20 pounds in a month. You probably already know this, but do you know all of the benefits of exercise?
For one thing, it helps boost your metabolism. The higher your metabolism, the more calories you burn. Because losing weight is just a numbers game, you want to burn as many calories as possible, which means building muscle!
By building stronger muscles, you are building insurance against fat. Because muscles burn more calories than fat, you are setting yourself up to burn more calories 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
