What the heck is combo walking? Simple... you walk forwards for 1 minute and then you turn around and walk backwards for 1 minute. Keep alternating between them for a total of 20 minutes.

Your body isn't ready for this. The backwards walking confuses it. It's forced to react. It's reaction includes quicker weight loss. Why? Because your body adjusts to workouts really quick. If you keep doing the same workout over and over, your body pretty much laughs as you.

This gets your heart going. It creates a nice oxygen deficit which acts as a catalyst for rapid fat loss.

1. Do fast bodyweight squats
These are a killer workout that gets quick fat loss results. But you need to do these properly. First, make sure your back is NOT arched over when you do your squats. Next, touch the ground with your fingers during each repetition. Why do this? This insures you are going down deep enough in your squats. Don't cheat the movement. You just hurt your own efforts.

Now, I recommend that you do 25 bodyweight squats as fast as you can. Rest 45 seconds and repeat.

 Do a total of 3 sets of 25 reps.

How To Loose Weight Fast-: 6 Proven Ways to Boost Your Metabolism This Holiday Season

Since it is the holiday season, everyone wants to know how to continue to loose weight fast instead of gaining weight!

You may have heard that if you boost your metabolism it will help you lose weight and burn more calories. This is true. This will also help you to get skinny quick.

So since weight loss is your goal you just might be interested in these five ways you can boost your metabolism.

1. Eat more green leafy vegetables. Dark green leafy vegetables like arugula, collard greens, dandelion greens, kale, chard, and spinach are full of vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium, and lots of fiber. These vegetables are packed with loads of antioxidants and they are so healthy for you, but what really helps you increase your metabolism is the fiber content in these vegetables. Your body is going to burn a lot more calories because of the work it takes to digest the fiber in these foods.

2. Drink ice cold water. Here is something that many people are not aware of; when you drink ice cold water your body has to heat the water to body temperature before it can be processed! Therefore you can burn more calories in any given day simply by drinking cold water! So next time you have a glass of water, make sure you drink it ice cold!

3. Eat 5-6 small, healthy meals throughout the day. Normally your body will horde calories as there are relatively long gaps between meals. However, eating small amounts more regularly throughout the day will encourage your body to naturally burn calories and body fat more quickly as your body knows it will be fed more often.

4. Do interval cardiovascular training. A number of studies have shown that doing intense physical exercise followed by a period of rest is more effective at inducing fat loss than simply training at a moderate intensity for the same duration. Doing interval training creates what is called 'after-burn' - following interval training your body burns at a higher rate than it would normally, thus burning more calories and naturally speeding up your metabolism.

5. Eat more fruit. Whole fresh fruits have actually been said to have "negative calories." this means that your body will burn more calories digesting the food than it stores from eating the food. To ramp up your metabolism you may want to try adding fresh fruits like blueberries or strawberries or bananas to your cereal or your smoothies every morning.

6. Eat spicy foods, chilies, and curries. Have you ever eaten a spicy meal and felt your body break out in a sweat? The capsaicin in many hot peppers and other spices literally fire up your metabolism due to the "fire" it creates inside your body. Some studies have said that there is a 50% increase in metabolism after eating a spicy meal that contains capsaicin. So you may want to keep a bottle of hot sauce on your table and add it to your dishes at meal time.

7 Ways to Eat Smart at Holiday Parties

Holiday parties bring buffets, bottomless punch bowls, and baked goods... oh my! But joining in on the celebration doesn't have to spell diet disaster. Party like it's 1999 without the scale budging by using these tips to eat smart at holiday parties.

1. Be Extra "Good" Before

If a party is on the calendar for this weekend, be extra diligent about making healthier choices and controlling portions all week long. Doing so will help compensate for any indulgences the celebration will bring. Just don't skip meals to "save up" calories for the soiree... that always backfires.

2. Graze Before You Go

Never go to a party hungry. All the will-power you can muster is no match for a rumbling tummy in the presence of a buffet. Have a small snack -- ideally, one comprised of both protein and carbs, such as an apple and some reduced-fat cheddar cheese -- about an hour before to keep hunger pangs at bay.

3. Remove Yourself from Temptation

Does it seem that the spread pulls you in like a magnet the moment you enter the party? Resist the force -- don't stand or sit near the buffet. After all, a party is for seeing lots of different friends, mingling and meeting new people. And you certainly can't do that if you're glued to the spot you secured right there next to the pigs in the blanket!

4. Dress the Part

My friend Diane swears by wearing a tightly-fitting skirt or moving down her belt a notch or two when she swings by a particularly tempting buffet. She says a constricting fit makes overeating very uncomfortable, if not virtually impossible.

5. Master the Munchies

Steer clear of traditional appetizers like cheese straws or sausage balls. Fresh veggies and low-fat dip, deli meat slices, reduced-fat cheese, whole-wheat crackers, and shrimp cocktail are all healthful alternatives to typical party fare.

6. Take the Focus Off Food


We show others we care for them by preparing food for them. We serve food or go out to eat as a way of socializing. But by making it a point to focus on the fun and joy of the holidays and time with friends and family, not just the season's eatings, you will be less likely to overeat or indulge in foods you would normally forgo.

7. Be Choosy

It can be overwhelming to see a wide variety of foods available. Before you put any food on your plate, think about those holiday foods you really look forward to each year. You only have so many calories to spend, so instead of filling up your plate with a lot of foods that you could eat anytime, pick a few of your absolute favorites and enjoy!
